While Elba was finishing her BA at the University of California Davis she worked for the University’s Department of Research and Health Sciences. Elba assisted the project coordinator in conducting a three year research about family planning and Latina women. She traveled to many Bay Area cities where she met, interviewed and informed women from different socio-economic backgrounds on family planning. She has experience working closely with families and individuals seeking to better inform themselves about health related issues. Since she has come on board at Napa CHI, she continues to assist families and individuals by facilitating the process of obtaining health insurance for their children. She is also grateful to have the opportunity to serve the Napa community that not too long ago served her when she was growing up.
